N4L wrote:You know what's funny about this... the guy is claiming to be was actually an instructor at my hockey camp when I was 13 or 14. I would love to know what hockey camp that was Roche, please inform me. If you can actually answer that, I'll buy it and I will actually appologize.

Again, if you are who you say you are, this should be easy.

Nice detail.

The "thanks for the warm welcome" so-called giveaway was used once, two days ago. The feud started with Roche's third post here, when he said he disagreed with Neely. How dare he, a rookie with 2 posts under his belt! It was the same thing with Clover and a couple of others. The constant here is Neely, not some random members.

wprager wrote:OMG! I was *not* correcting you! There was *nothing* wrong with your grammar (at least not as far as I could see). It was simply a reference back to your "loser" versus "not a winner" posts in the Spezza thread. I thought it was quite a clever post, actually, but perhaps too clever? Too bad -- if it was lost on you I guess it was lost on everyone.

LOL. That's funny, in a way. Sens on July 1st, Free Agents, Trades - Interesting storylines to watch. - Page 44 679331 It doesn't change the fact that you play grammarian it bit too often, but it is nicely ironic that it took a misread on my part to get me to comment on the issue.

Nah, the constant is the nit picking at my posts, then I comment and get the same response, basically the one Im looking for ie "thanks for the warm welcome". Go back and you can see the same condisending tone and writting style with the same sort of comments. Let Rooney go check if he has the time because he seems to have a lock on the language thing.

Roche has been here for 3 months already, and only has like 100 posts. Notch / Clover / FireOnIce put up that many posts in a day. Based on that alone, I'd say it's not Notch -- or if it is, he's really in incognito. Sens on July 1st, Free Agents, Trades - Interesting storylines to watch. - Page 44 49849

Digging through Notch / FireOnIce / Cloverleaf's posts sounds like a tall order, especially given that those accounts have been deleted and I would have to search by "guest." And even there, I'd be guessing. Mission impossible hard, here.

Fair enough.

My only problem with this N4L is sometimes you tend to leave the feeling of you and your opinions are gospel. It could be the way you write (hell i'm as guilty as anyone with what I write isn't received as I intended), or it could just be that you believe your opinions are gospel.

I hate that a discussion of hockey has become a debate about a person's true identity on a message board that allows people to remain anonymous. You're not a memeber of a NHL's team management, nor am I or anyone else here as far as I know. You're opinions, while often full valid arguements are just that opinions.

I have no problem with the way you defend your arguements or with the vigor that you do. My problem with some of the posts (mine included...guilty as charged) is that we tend to stand on the side of fact more than opinion. Only time will tell who was correct, but isn't that the fun of the debate more than anything else. Otherwise I guess we wouldn't be here to comment.

Remember that on the other end of the key board is person, and sometimes it's better and easier for all to just let things due off. Pride is a wonderful thing, but unless someone knows you personally does it matter. I guess it's age and my children that has etched this view into my life, as once I was a hard headed pride filled goon who wanted nothing more than to impose his will and opinions on society.

Now, I laugh more than I get angry. It makes life more enjoyable.

With that said..I'm right you guys are all wrong...GRYBA will be on the roster this year not Cowen or Wiercioch.

In his defense, Clover and a couple of others were all idiots who thought they knew more than everyone else. Any one of us here knows N4L isn't the type to let bad opinions presented as the right opinion go unnoticed... his confrontational tone is also a fraction of what it used to be.

I think this thread is due for a lock...July 1st is no more.

Is this a serious topic right now?

I will respond in private to those that deserve it. Also, feel free to ask me anything in private about my personal life. Is was actually quite astonishing to read that my name was posted on this site, something which I don't really agree with, but that is besides the point.

Actually, I would appreciate that whomever posted my name, edit their comment.

Not cool, that you used your admin powers to do that.

Ok. I took out your first name; I think I got all the "Quotes" of the original as well.

Bad opinions and good opinions? Opinions are just what they are; opinions. They can be based on facts or fantasy but they're just opinions; they don't have to be logical; you can agree with an opinion or disagree but I don't know if you can call it good or bad.

Yep, definitely google.

In one of your (CockRoche's) earlier posts you mentioned the year you were drafted and the team that drafted you. You may want to re-visit that post and edit out some of that information. To do that, just click on Profile, then See my profile, then under "Find all posts by ..." click on Posts. The posts are ordered by time, in descending order, so you'll have to go to the last page for the earliest ones.

Fair enough...by "bad opinions" I meant illogical statements and nonsensical inference. I was being lazy.
