I wasn't thrilled with our position anyway. Just as well that they dealt the pick. Something else must be up.

We traded away the 16th for David Rundblad. I like Rundblad, but we already have 3 young defensemen.....I just don't get this move.

He's probably working a deal to get a late pick to get McFarland or somebody else. Still...wow.

Trade down at least.....I don't get this at all. I'm sure the prospect is great, but what the bejuses??? who saw something like this happening????

Perhaps they move Lee and/or Foligno, for another first later on....

I was really hoping to come out of this draft with a stud offensive prospect. Still got time to go, but I am on the fence about this.

This has gotta mean the end of one of Cowen or Wiecioch in Ottawa (at least in my mind, cause you can't fit all these guys in)

Why not a forward prospect who is closer?

Runblad is sick. I kind of thought of him a bit like the Swedish PK Subban. Our future blue-line is awesome.

Weird move, though. I was hoping against hope that they'd take Tarasenko. Guess they just don't like the chances he comes over.

Phoenix still wins the draft, though. Between OEL and Gormley there's enough hockey IQ to score telekinetically.
