I agree with what a poster on the Dobber forums is saying:

Why are we helping Chicago?! I think all GMs minus Stan Bowman should
have gotten together and said lets not deal with Chicago and see how
this works out for them. Atlanta has now moved to the bottom five of my
most disliked teams.

@Real_ESPNLeBrun Or no teams bite and the Hawks can figure out another way to get compliant. I'd consider it a favor to take their contracts

Hmm a part of me would like that depending on who they get with the two picks (McFarland, Bennett, Jarnkrok, etc.), but a part of me really wants to keep that #16.

Chicago seriously just got saved by Atlanta, no clue what Atlanta is thinking here... I would almost bet Eager ends up being the most valuable player out of this trade because Buff without the tallent around him will be useless.

I thought this was worth pointing out. Following this trade, the Thrashers will have Evander Kane, Dustin Byfgulien, Johnny Oduya and Akim Aliu.

Let's not go nuts here, they only saved ~ 4 million. It's gonna take a lot more than that.
