TSNBobMcKenzie It has been suggested to me that there's no chance Jeff Carter will be odd man out in PHI. More likely to be someone else. Interesting.

They're smart, they know Giroux and Van Riemsdyk will have raises in one and two years so they will try to get the best deals for the older guy, just after a cup run.

Parent was really falling out of favour in Philly, so maybe this is just a way of trying to get the kid back on track. If the conditional pick is a 2nd or 3rd I wouldn't be surprised if Hamhuis doesn't get signed at all.
