Heh. I don't think he's the answer either, but I was painting an "ideal scenario" where he was not injury prone, he'd be worth a sniff.

Yeah without the injuries maybe.. But then again I'd consider Picard just as good if not better and he is only 23, so we should be ok, as long as we sign a d-man here and there in the next couple of years... I don't see that being too much of a problem..

I would not get him at the expense of a better option. Like one of the Vancouver d's mentioned in the other thread.

Yeah exactly.. I just think there is much better out there...

I would not get him period, and the "other" Vancouver options are not actively being shopped I suspect. Wink

I would take a flyer on Coliacovo for a late round pick. Not a first or second as mentioned. If they are intent on dumping him and there are no takers. I would help them out for a 5th or 6th. That being said they would hang up right away me thinks... that's fine with me too.

Hell no. I don't think anyone mentioned 1st or 2nd. I said no higher than a 3rd.

I have a feeling Colaiacovo would have a hard time cracking about 75% of the NHL's team defence corps... He could maybe make the teams who have holes in their defence but I don't think he'd take away anybody's job...

Yeah you are right, sorry. It was 3rd or 2nd earlier and not by you. In the end still I would not go higher than 5th and let them hang up if they want.

Oh, there's no way a first or second, that is way too much to pay for him... I really do not see this guy in a sens uni anytime soon....

Gerber and a first for Toskala.

PROS for TOR:
- Gaurantee yourself a 1st overall pick
- save a few million dollars in cap space
- lose him at end of season
- gets another top 20 pick likely

PROS for OTT:
- gets a goalie that can win you a game

If Toronto would do that, I'm sure it would be done in a second! I'd love to see Toskala in a sens uni...
