Senators re-sign Ryan Keller

I thought Murray was president of hockey opperations?

He's executive VP I think. But the man in charge of hockey operations (ie. GM).

Cyril Leeder is in fact, the President (Roy Mlakar's old job)

Would Murray want to be the President though? What does that entail?

Alot of it is sales and PR from what I understand. Corporate Sponsorship and the like.

If we keep Murray I'd rather keep his energy in GM-ing. Not sure if President is an easier job or not, but I want his job to have an impact directly on the ice.

I think Bryan Murray is taking Tim under his wing and showing him the ropes so that he can take over as GM after next season.

Think about it. There would basically be no change in philosophy and it would be a smooth transition. Tim is also a huge reason why drafting has been a strength in recent years as well. I would honestly be shocked if he wasn't the next GM.

I doubt it. I think he'd slip into an advisors role if Tim Murray took over and that would be about it.

I've thought this for a year + now. I think it's all but done when Murray steps down - unless he's let go - that Tim comes in and GMs the Sens. He's been in training for years and years and years now.
