I think you can safely say he will be in LA next year.

As for Lehner, he will play a couple games in The NHL next year and probably be on the roster come 11/12. We'll see what Leclaire does next year because if he doesnt become the legit, number 1 guy without question, he will be let go and Elliott and Lehner will takes the reigns. That would be when Lehner goes mental and takes the job.

Yeah, especially when we have two goalies already, one of them in his last season. He'll only be called up if/when there are injuries IMO.

Nice thread. I think Gryba is going to surprise ppl with call-ups. He'll be really poised and confident I think, and deliver some nice open-ice hits that'll have us thinking "anton who?". Thinkin' a bit outside the box, but the obvious choices would be Butler and Weircioch (and they will start in the AHL)

Never gave Greening any thought, he's big, but can he make the jump to the NHL from the NCAA?

i think you guys are being way too critical about wick... nobody knows a thing about his contract discussions. maybe they're discussing some of the finer points and all this is gonna wind up with him playing in the AHL. way to many short judgment calls on here without any factual information.

as far as wick performing, well he did do enough of a good job to make the olympick team(well ok, they don't have truck loads to choose from) but he did have a strong showing. so yeah he could surprise a few people and make it up to ottawa on a call-up basis this year.

I said previously that I have no clue what to expect, good, bad or otherwise.

No one knows anything about this guy, hell he could turn into Alfi, he could also turn into Niklulin. No one knows and anyone that actually says they do is just lying.

Tell us more. I'm curious personally.

Me too. I read his profile on Hockeysfuture and he sounds like he's got some potential. Then again, they forecast O'Brien as being the power forward the Sens need...

They can be really hit and miss for sure.

Hockey futures "opinions" are not based on much, hell their rating system is stupid to begin with.

Anyways, Greening defently has the speed, work ethic, and mental maturity needed to make the jump. That is a guy that would have be saught after by all teams if he was a UFA coming out of college.

He is a scolastic honor student at an Ivy Leauge School, a two year captain at the NCAA level (very rare, it's usually a senior), and he has a scoring touch to add to his very complete two way game.

He might not make the team out of camp but I will pretty much bet on him seeing a game or two in Ottawa next year and he will indeed be an Ottawa Senator some day.

Cool, that would be great. He impressed me along with Condra and Grant (I think) at the development camp, so if he can prove he belongs, that would be very intriguing.

Condra is another kid I like although he may have another year or two before he gets a serious look by The Sens. He was great at rookie camp last year though and in the rookie tourny.

Yeah, I like Condra too. As long as he can stay away from pissing on cop cars, everything should be okay.

They also put O'Brien ahead of Lehner on the Sens top 5 prospects chart.
