Eventually. Not sure now is the time. In order to take the next step to elite or playoff performer, we need the young kids to come in and make an impact like Regin and Karlsson. Guys like Wiercioch, Cowen, Gryba, Lehner, Petersson etc. should be integrated into the lineup somewhat successfully before sweeping changes are made and guys like Kelly are jettisoned.

That's my opinion anyway. We're a heck of a lot closer now than we were with the post-Finals team, but there's still a long way to go.

Another guy that people should keep an eye on is Paul Martin. That's a guy who may very well be the best defenseman on the market this year, hell, people have said he could very well be the best all around D man in The NHL with Keith (not that I agree with it).

This is a guy that would turn Ottawa into a contender IMO.

Oh yeah...I think I forgot about him because I figured Uncle Lou wouldn't let him go, but if that's the case, why isn't it done by now?

Would love Martin, but he's had some health issues of late. It would also take at the very least 5 million bucks to do it.

Not saying I wouldn't make room, but changes would need to be made.

Martin will be on the market by the sounds of things. 5 mil easy for that guy though, you are right there.

Don't forget about Coburn as well. I still want Z. Michalek though, how can he turn down the prospect of playing with his bro, unless they hate eachother lol.
