Definitely out of context here, but you guys think the Caps should put in an offer sheet for Halak? I'm not sure if they gave up their picks at the deadline or what not, but I mean they're picks are worthless this year and they could definitely get Halak for Theodore money and maybe more without messing up their roster. They also have tons of RFAs that they could trade to get their picks back...

That's not half-bad, actually. I don't think I'd want to he on the receiving end of either side of the deal, tho'. I don't entirely trust Price, and Semin is over-rated.

That would work IMO. Semin has one year left only though, so that hurts his trade value a lot, but in the end the Habs would have literally found a 40 goal scorer for a guy they're not even using.

Next for Semin is conquering the playoffs. I'm sure it'll come, he had plenty of chances this year, it just didn't really happen for any of them.

I dunno if I'd consider Semin over-rated. If he weren't playing in Ovechkin's shadow you'd hear his name a lot more. On that note, Russian's do love Montreal. I could see this being semi-plausible

for the benefit of anyone who didnt see it Ryder shot the puck broke his stick sending the shot to go off the boards bouncing back in front boucher tried to stop it but apparently the puck followed the inside pad down his leg and as he closed his feet angled the puck enough slide in the net instead of going wide a strange coincidence
