Ya, again, people. Burke is in Toronto and Sutter is in Calgary. Do you really think they are very high on Semin?

Semin might land in a place like Columbus or Edmonton.

There are rumours out there straight from Bobby Mac that a Semin/Kaberle swap almost happened at the deadline.

Phil Kessel doesn't exactly scream Brian Burke, but he paid a premium for him. I wouldn't be suprised at all.

Phil Kessel is American so it's a little more realistic. I really would be shocked if they swapped Semin for Kaberle and extremely happy as a Sens fan.

Ovechkin runs the locker room, and he is great great friends with Semin.

Ovechkin isnt a captain and that was clear from the interview he just gave. He needs a coach to take him to the next level, he needs an expierenced guy. McTavish might be the ideal guy to go there.

Darn, makes me wondering what could have happened if Ottawa was able to get into the 2nd round with all the big dogs in the east being booted.

I still think they should have gone with Laich as captain, he's the voice in that room, but they gave it to the superstar instead. Kinda like when the Sens gave the captaincy to Yashin, even though the voice in the room was Pitlick.
