8:17, Erik Karlsson 2
(power play) (Mike Fisher, Daniel Alfredsson)

With that primary assist on EK's goal last night, Mike Fisher has eclipsed his previous season high of 48 point in 06/07. If he hadn't struggled with his consistency, he'd be making 8 million dollars a year - but he'd also have shattered his previous point total record in around January, but still a great feat for a real solid player for Ottawa.

All hail Andy Sutton!

He's also only 2 goals away from setting a career high in goals which is certainly do-able.

Good for him. And as SSF has mentioned, I'm sure Andy Sutton has helped him at least just a little bit. Wink

You can't put a value on "good in the community" and doing "other things".

How can you sell high when he's got a NTC?

Carrie Underwood. 'Nuff said.

I doubt it. Plus, we'd have to replace 55 points, 25 goals and a big dude who can play PK and all three zones. That'll cost 4 million bones in today's NHL IMO.

Cullen. Better player.

Don't we have 69 guys who can PK now?
We need a L winger baaadly.

Agreed. Probably cheaper too.

Yeah, I'll admit Cullen's pretty damn good. Not sure you'll be able to sway Fisher into waiving his NTC though, Underwood or no Underwood.

Peter Regin played an excellent LW last night. Could he be the future LW? He plays quite similarly to Michalek I find.

If Regin keeps it up on the top line at LW, it would be a good idea to just leave Michalek on Fishers left side. It's not like Michalek plays off of his linemates anyway.

I'd rather develop him at center and find a LW that has deadly one timers.
Like Neely said, if Brad Boyes is available we should be in the run. If you put him on the 1st line he can basically replace Heatley and you'll have Michalek with Regin and Kovalev.
