Hey, he's representing the country, for now, we all need to take a hiatus from bashing the guy. I hope he scores 20 goals this tournament.

I just can't cheer for a team with him on it. Plain and simple. I'll cheer for everyone but him. I hope he doesn't score a goal at all.

Suit yourself, but I will be screaming when he scores. Cause if Dany Heatley scores, then Canada scores, and I'm cheering for absolutely everything they do: goals, hits, saves, faceoff wins, puck battles...all of it.

Interesting how the Sharks' line and Heatley aren't even on any of the PP units.

What are the odds USA gets upset today?
I know I should be cheering for them, since I live in the US, but I'm pulling for the Swedes again. I can't be against Alfie.
Team Germany really got the short end of the stick; having to play Team Sweden and Finland in the first two games. That sucks for them.
And oh yea, Canada wins big

I'd say the Swiss team certainly won't be a gimme. Look at how they did in 2006 in the preliminary rounds. There's a definite possibility the Swiss could win which is why I understand the move to put Luongo in today and Brodeur in vs. the Swiss.

I don't even know if it would qualify as an upset would it?

Team USA shouldn't and won't lose to the Swiss today.

I'm sure that's what they were thinking when they limped into the medal rounds after losing to the Swiss in 2006.

Just read it's Hiller in net. The article also said only two NHLers with Streit on the team so I don't think Gerber even made it

Jonas Hiller and Mark Streit are the key to the Swiss today. They need them both to dominate.

I'm pretty sure Gerber's the backup. He's not an NHLer anymore he's in the KHL.

Maybe we should rename this thread Sarcasm

By the way, Canada just won 7-6 over Norway in curling.

Martin made a huge mistake in the 6th end, I believe. Kept the Norwegians in it.
