I believe the rumours about Redden and I'm sure they apply to many Sens over the years as well. The truth is Redden's game fell off dramatically with the passing of his mom. I think it knocked down his passion, he got injured, and he has not, and probably never will, get it back.

You know what isn't a rumour? This would have been a far better team for the last 3 years if that sack of Dung hadn't refused to waive his no-trade.

Redden played 21:02 tonight with 1A and a +2. On the surface, that doesn't look like a player who is on the verge of being sent down. Redden was second on the team in ice time, with Mark Staal only having more.

This doesn't mean he is all of a sudden good. But it does seem to discount the rumour.

On a side note, 16 of 18 Rangers had at least one point against Tampa tonight.

Even the Rangers can't be stupid enough to pay a guy $6.5 million per season to play in the minors. It just doesn't make sense.
