Ugh - just caught the highlights. 2 big softies from Leclaire and one waaaaaaaaaaaaaay out of position. We looked pretty flat footed across the board. Brutal effort from the boys. Brutal.

How did this guy get a coaching job?

Blasphemy.
He needs to be tethered to his net somehow.
Yikes... let the frustration boil over... welcome to Ottawa Pascal.SensGirl11 wrote:Well Leclaire is starting to feel the wrath of the fans and media here. He's not as jovial as usual talking about his suckage factor.
“There were 40 other shots (Thursday night). F---, I’m going to make mistakes ... now it seems that every time I give up a goal, it’s scrutinized, and its always the story of the game. If you guys want to keep doing that ... I know I make mistakes. I made a mistake on the third goal, but at the same time I thought I did some good stuff.
“As long as we don’t win, there’s nothing else that matters. It’s 5-2, we’ve got to play smarter defensively, especially against a team like that. We gave them too many scoring chances.”
I don't know what we are going to do about our goaltending situation here but something has to give at some point. We can't keep getting mediocre goaltending, we're not going to go anywhere. It's getting so frustrating and I'm sick of being able to guess every game we lose now. There are teams we just can't win against.
Bye bye playoff spot. Here we go again!
SensGirl11 wrote:Could we get more bad luck with injuries? It's getting ridiculous. I'm sure by the end of today we hear that Fisher is hurt too. Kovalev fell awkwardly as well (near the end of the game) and didn't look great afterwards. Something's gotta give there too at some point. Is Murray finally going to pull the trigger on a deal? Or are we too dangerously close to the cap? What are we going to do? Our spot is gone if something isn't done soon.
On a more positive note Karlsson played lights out yesterday! He made some of the nicest plays of the night for our side. I'm getting more and more impressed with the young man.

Hmmmm, I wonder who he's supposed to be getting those fundamentals from? A goalie coach, perhaps?
