I didn't say that. All I said is that it's happened in figure skating/ice dancing. Rules could have changed since then, or the IOC/IIHF agreements may be different.

I don't think their D and penalty kill is going to hold up when it counts.

Gonchar and Markov on the back with those forwards up front is a killer PP. Don't dare take a penalty against them. As someone already mentioned, Team Canada is not overly fast, so I can see the Russians drawing a lot of penalties.

On the PK side of things, Markov is pretty good, and of course they have Volchenkov as well.

As usual, it will come down to goaltending.

So they are going to put out two defensemen on the penalty kill and that's it? Datsyuk is going to kill penalties for sure, but how many minutes can he play per kill? Their second unit penalty kill is still going to go up against monster power play units by USA, Canada and Sweden.
