Last time we played Colorado, Shannon had two goals. We lost 3-2 in OT.

At least we pushed back a little in the third, the first two periods were bad, bad, bad. We were horrible in all three zones until the final 20, defensively deplorable, standing around, letting out massive rebounds, giving pucks away left, right and center. First 40 minutes were really, really bad - and they should realize it by having to watching it over and over tomorrow. Diddle.

Final period was great. Just cut the Jeckyl and Hyde Dung.

I have good things to say about Shannon, Regin, Kelly. Bad, bad things about Kuba. At least Picard's on the 3rd pairing making 800K, what's your excuse Kuba? Someone please get us a real D-man. A number one. I don't care where it comes from, this team is dying without it. Sad

For who though? Campoli was dangerous offensively when we started to get going. Does Clouston dare take his little pet Picard out?

EDIT: Laugh1 That came off as too harsh. Picard sucks alright, but Clouston has gotten some good out of him.

Scratch Kuba then.

Glad to see Duchene at least score. Atta boy, Matt, atta boy.

One big save from Leclaire and this was going to OT.

He is an Olympian.

Czech Republic has no chance.

I did say that, just not then. However, the time to trade him was in March.

OT - but did anyone see that crazy play in Tampa were Mezsaros was pushed onto Smith (after he had covered the puck) and stepped on the back of his neck. For some lucky reason he wasent cut and stayed in the game.

I'm sitting there watching this thing go down and I see Kuba making countless mistakes near the end of the game, and it occurs to me: This is not his game. He is a very good 4, but we're asking him to be 1...That's the problem. This is at Murray's feet, not Kuba's, not Clouston's, not the other 5 non-#1 D...and even then, there isn't a whole hell of a lot Murray was able to do to fix the problem. It's just something we, as fans, live with until it gets fixed. Murray's building it right for the future and still keeping us competitive in the present. I think that's pretty good when a full scale rebuild is unacceptable to the fanbase and the owner.

As for the everyday, like I said, Kuba will continue to let us down when we ask him to do things he isn't suited for. I think it's time the most intelligent fans in hockey make peace with that fact GAME DAY: Colorado Avalanche @ Ottawa Senators - 7:00pm ET - Wed. Dec. 30th, 2009 - Page 13 105237
