Finally sounds like a trade is coming - Columbus and ...?

Whom else can you give it to? When the Pens gave it to Crosby, they easily had better choices among their vets -- Gonchar, for example. On the Caps, can you name one veteran who deserves it more than Mr. Hot Stick?

Hmmm....why not go the extra mile and get Nylander. Don't the BJs have enough Chris Clark types? Very odd - although, nice trade value wise for Howsen.

Nylander doesn't strike me as a Hitchcock type player. Washington seems to have moved some money out here.

I've liked Clark for a long time. Kind of a Chris Kelly type but with more offensive punch. What happened there? Did he just not fit anymore or did he start to drop off his play dramatically?

15 points so far. Only averaging 11.39 icetime, though. I think he's a nice fit for Columbus.

My concern is that this deal might actually stabilize CBJ which might mean no Filatov for us!

I knew he was the Captain. I think this is going to hurt the Caps in the one area they struggle - in the defensive zone. Clark is a solid two way forward who can PK and is a leader. We shall see. I thought the Pens would struggle after losing Laraque, Malone, Roberts, Ruutu, & Armstrong and I was way off there so who knows.

Chimera is a solid checker and a PKer, and a better one than Clark now on both fronts, I'd say.
