Bob McKenzie is speculating as well, there's something finally happening between the BJs and the Caps.

Could it be Filatov?

I bet it's something like Jurcina, Nylander and a pick for Chimera, Modin and Filatov.

What about Filatov for Semin? Semin at his price tag might be too much for the Caps to retain after his extension is over next season. Plus Backstrom remains to be re-signed.

That would make the Caps a LOT worse right now. That wouldn't be a good move at all IMO.

McKenzie mentioned Shaone Morrison and Jurcina by name with Methot being placed on the long term IR by the BJs. Doesn't sound like Filatov is even a part of this deal.

I think the Sens are still in the Filatov race - IF Howsen lowers the price to Campoli and SJ's 2nd. That's my opinion.

Yes, I believe so. The BJs beat writers were talking about it as Mark pointed out. Maybe just a Lee for pick kind of thing. Or Campoli for a 2nd (dreaming).

I'm still trying to figure out what's wrong with Nylander. He didn't fit in in Washington for whatever reason, but this guy has always been an offensive force - in particular passing and even more specific, he's like a surgeon on the PP. Vermette's getting the job done in Columbus, but if they feel like rolling the dice and can ship comparable salary to Washington (no idea), why not take the chance? He's a lot better than people give him credit IMO.

So different though. Lee and Campoli are 'puck movers' (ha ha) and Morrison and Jurcina would be more the 5-6 defensive D-men
