Not personally, but did you see when Keller started to look really sharp? It was when Clouston put him on the top line with Spezza and Michalek. A skilled player needs a top 6 role while a grinder needs a bottom 6 role - and that won't change often. Unless of course you find the perfect mix...

The problem is when they make call-ups like that and give a guy a shot on the top line he can't just look good or even great up there. He has to pot some goals and/or assists almost immediately and sustain it. It's just the way it is, at least in Ottawa, you have a super short leash and you better do something productive right away if you're an offensive player.

Yep. If he plays tonight he can't be pointless.

Anyone mention Brodeur may get the start v. Phoenix?

While coach Cory Clouston doesn’t name his starter until the day of the game, he indicated Wednesday that Elliott will play against the Kings in Los Angeles Thursday and if Binghamton callup Mike Brodeur is going to get a chance, it will likely come against the Coyotes in Phoenix on Saturday.
