I just remember Hedman scoring a great goal off the rush but that goal being largely meaningless. I don't know what the final score was, but I'm pretty sure Canada won by two or more and Sweden scored 2 goals.

Cowen doesn't see much time outside of the pk, Silfverberg has looked good but not great, and I don't Petersson has played since the 10 minute mark of the 1st period.

Silfverberg was quite good I thought. He's a tremendous PKer and he scored one of Sweden's goals.

Kid's basically guaranteed to be an NHLer, we'll just have to wait and see in what capacity.

I'd say he's the more Alfie-like of the two Swedish forwards, with Petersson more like our other 36-year-old winger.

Thats what I was thinking...meh, we'll see I guess.

We desperately need to sort out our forward corps for the future. Petersson's an excellent pick and basically a second round/late first round calibre player, but he's at best a complementary scorer.

There's a certain #4 playing for Canada who wouldn't look to shabby playing here.

Anyway, Canada walloped Sweden again. Without Karlsson and Hedman on the blue-line, their roster just looks much less impressive. Losing Backlund hurts as well.

Sweden's still a medal lock, but I'm less confident they can beat Canada this year.

I thought Adam Larsson was the second coming ?

He could play 3 WJC

GUy`s now saying Petersson has the potential one of the best players of the tournament

Just finished watching from the 2nd on. Never once saw Petersson, which was hugely disappointing to me. Cowen didn't play much, again, very disappointing.

Silfverberg was always the center of any good play Sweden made. Really nice game from him.

He is. He's better than Hedman was when Hedman was 16. But he's still 16. He's in no way over his head as a top-4 defenceman in this tournament, but Karlsson and Hedman would be the best two defencemen in the tourney by a pretty significant margin IMO. Although Pietrangelo looks much improved.

He'll definitely be one of the most productive.

He's not an Alfredsson, though.
