You really saw the Ottawa Senators last night. Their capacity for absolute stinkers, as well as their resiliency to come back.

Full value last night. Thanks for the duckets Clutchie. Have any more furniture to move? GAME DAY: Nashville Predators @ Ottawa Senators - 7:30pm ET - Thu. Oct. 22nd, 2009 - Page 21 54934

Unreal to watch. Full value for the price of that ticket last night.

I think they will be ready for sure because that is another team playing desperate hockey. Nothing tougher to be prepared for then a hard working team that is going to come at ya with everything they have.

With the call ups and guys trying to find and keep a spot in Boston like Marchand and Paille, you can bet they give The Sens everything they can handle.

Every single game that we've played this year the Sens have come out looking god awful in the first 5 minutes of the game. Yesterday, they come out looking ok in the first 3 minutes and then just completely lose it. I don't know when the last time was that we played a bad game like that, everything was just going horribly horribly wrong. Picard is a detriment to this team. I can't believe after the 2nd horrible turnover he had right in front of our net (the first resulting in the 1st goal) that Clouston kept him out there, it was only after his 4th blatant turnover that he took him out of the game for good. I've never seen anyone have such a horrible game, and not learn from his mistakes. He wasn't being cautious at all, he just kept giving the puck away, very very odd.

Seriously though, I didn't think we'd even score in that game, I couldn't watch anymore, it was too painful. Then I turn the TV back on at 17:10 of the 3rd and see that we've scored. I couldn't believe it and then BOOM! Bring it on! The boys were just flying out there. That was a heroic comeback from them, especially to do it all in the 3rd period, I was just stunned. It's been a long time since we've seen our boys come together like that and nearly win the game after being down and out for so long. I have to give them props for that. I went through every emotion possible last night, as we all did I'm sure. It's really too bad we took that penalty in OT because I'm sure we could have put it away.

Volchenkov and Phillips are superstars again this year, I'm so happy to see them back to their old selves again. Even better then they have ever been. Very exciting stuff.

Spezza was just unbelievable in the 3rd yesterday! WOW! I can't say enough about his play, he's really turning the corner.

I hope we can bring the momentum of the 3rd period of last night into Saturday's game.

Can't wait for Saturday's game!  I think we'll see a smarter defensive game (not possible to be worse than last night) with the same intesity of the third period.  I really hope Cheech is back on the 1st line though.  If he's not, it's gonna be a huge hit to the confidence.  And yes, put Karlsson on the point for the PP.  Defensively, he's got a long way to go but offensively, he's got magic hands.  Almost completed a beautiful little dangle off the Kovalev saucer in the first...a sign of good things to come.

That's McDreary for you. He always has to try and be the show. The sooner he realizes fans are not there to see him the better.

Karlsson on the PP last night and in the offensive zone was unreal. Some of the passes he was making to Alfi and Campoli on the point were awe striking. Couldnt believe a couple of those cross ice passes, just awesome to watch from that standpoint.

Only way he is going to learn is by making those mistakes now. People who say he should be down in the AHL dont realize how badly he would control the play down there and domiante, thus he doesnt learn a thing. Agaisnt the best you become the best, Karlsson will grow into that number 1, stud D man.

Cheechoo has to stay in, he was getting the chances and playing well, that whole top line was. Spezza will carry Cheechoo with Michalek and he will start to produce. You never lose that scoring touch, just your conifednce.

All the days off between games combined with the mindset of "we're facing nashville, minus two of their better players" lead to complete shock and poor reactions to a nashville team that came out flying on the forecheck.  Who would've thought...6-5 OT loss vs. Nashville??!!

What was the score last time they played us at home... They wont get 5 goals from their D every night so that was a rarity we saw. Weber is the man though, best Canadian D man on the planet.

You gotta think Cheech is right on the edge...so close so many times, doing the little things right but, last night hurts.  Even if he's not taken out for Saturday's game, his confidence needs a jolt.  His teammate in SJ comes over with him and is tearing it up and he can't buy a goal, playing on the same line.  Clouston better be saying the right things...keep at it, the bounces will come, put the one bad game behind you and get back to what you were doing....

Ya, he's a dick but there is no way those were not penalties for The Sens last night. You can make the arguement that NAshville should have had a couple more but the refs didnt cost The Sens the game, no shot and if you or anyone else convinced yourself of that... watch the game again if you can.

I agree about Karlsson. The only way for him to really get his mojo going and confidence is to play the 1st PP and put up some points. Everything else should start to fall into place.

Sat him on his Donkey last night for Shannon. Sat Donovan on his Donkey for Shannon... not liking that at all and it is pretty concerning to me as well. Clouston is 100% playing favorites.

Summed that up perfectly. Get the kid going and let him find his stride. It's like an exam, do the easy question first and get your confidence going.

Yeah, Suter's no slouch either!

Yep, they sure did. And three times too!

I'll take Weber any day over Suter but point taken. There was a shift where he actually score the 2nd time, where he DOMINATED Michalek down low and didnt give him an inch. Maybe the most impressive defensive play I have seen all year from any player in The NHL. How you stop a 225lbs beast dead in his tracks is beyond me, but he did it.

We'll see Saturday night.  It's like rooney said, for the money, cheech needs to be in the lineup, playing on the first line where, last night aside, he's played well.  Even if the dollars were the same, I would not be pleased if Shanon is in and Cheech is out.
