A little off topic here...I was wondering why Foligno would have mentioned Redden as one of his close friends and I may have made the connection.  Redden also lost his mom to cancer and I remember when Neil lost his mom, he mentioned Redden helping him through it.  I'm guessing Redden did the same for Foligno.  On ice issues aside, Redden does seem to be a good guy...I just hope Foligno doesn't think ski trips are a way to deal with such a tough time in his life.

I think shabbs may want to wait until he has some links for articles to post up. I mean it's still kinda early for a GDT don't you think?
Yeah, I've got the majority of it done and ready in the hopper... just waiting for some final links/previews and it will be up later today. Want to hear the post-practice interviews etc...

Doh.

Volchie took a pretty bad cross check from Malone on his first shift (at least it looked like a cross check from where I was sitting). He skated off right away but was back a couple of shifts later. Tough SOB.
Yeah, I'd say Volchie is just resting some bumps and bruises... but Kuba not skating was a surprise... they were hoping he would, this may put his Thursday return in jeopardy.

damn wish he would be skating to get back quicker, but at this juncture, it might be better not to rush Kuba and jeopardize the injury any further, we can beat Montreal without him.

The only practice A-train needs to do is print out a life-size cutout of Matt Duchesne and learn that face for when we play the Avs GAME DAY: Tampa Bay Lightning @ Ottawa Senators - 7:30pm ET - Thu. Oct. 15th, 2009 - Page 20 Icon_smile

It's never too early. Hell, you can create all 76 of the remaining ones right now and just populate them (edit first post) as info comes in.

The schedule is a little wonky. We play the Habs tomorrow night, then no games scheduled on Sunday (WTH?). We don't play again until Thursday. Giving Kuba another game off will let him have another 5 days (including today's no-practice) to continue healing/rehabbing.

He should be concentrating on squashing smurfs first, then he can worry about Duchene and Wolski.

agreed completely, if this same team shows up in Montreal tomorrow, with Kovalev actually buzzing more than normal, Montreal will be in for a very long night and Price will be getting a huge sun burn from that red light.

Also, not sure if it just didn't show on those two plays, but how could Michalek's 2nd goal and Spezza's pass to set up his 3rd not HON candidates? Is the any Sens bias showing through again on TSN?

The 3rd goal by Michalek from Spezza was the highlight of the night on TSN. I know because I stayed up to watch the entire TSN Sportscenter. GAME DAY: Tampa Bay Lightning @ Ottawa Senators - 7:30pm ET - Thu. Oct. 15th, 2009 - Page 20 970109

We've already decided long ago that it would be Campoli. SpezDispenser is about the only holdout -- regardless of Neely keeps saying, I think he (SD) is theonly one who wanted Picard gone before Campoli.

So how about it, SD, after seeing the two of them live, are you still more impressed with Campoli over Picard?

After last night, I would agree, it's Campoli's time to be a healthy scratch. Which isn't to say he wasn't decent, but Picard and Carkner were too good together to separate.

Speaking of which, guess which two players are #1 and 2 on the team in +/-? :KKK:
