I swear, every time I get nervous about this team, I need to replay this interview. This guy is 100% IN CHARGE of this team and he knows what he's talking about. It's awesome.

Spezza has been 'very, very effective' as has Michalek and Cheechoo. Better reads on the PP, specific entry areas and then relieving pressures by moving the puck quickly.

If he works hard and, more importantly, finishes, he'll prove his worth on the top-line.

I dunno about that. The man-crush is reserved for Sharp and Bogosian, but Clouston kicks some serious arse. Yeah, maybe I do actually. He's the undisputed coaching leader of my team.

That's true. I watched his goals in SJ and most of his goals are rebounds or one-timers. He definately needs a set-up guy. Michael Ryder is a great comparison.
But he's got a good shot (he shot Hiller in the head and had him seeing stars) and some nifty moves as well. He's not Chris Kelly or anything.
He needs to work hard and crash the net but apparently work ethic isn't one of his problems.
True... not sure why the reporter asked him about Shannon... and Clouston didn't react in his reply... just said they're all very close outside of Kuba.SensFan71 wrote:Shannon returned in the last game did he not, pretty sure I saw him manning the point on the PP.

I think Karlsson is missing him the most!SensFan71 wrote:shabbs wrote:True... not sure why the reporter asked him about Shannon... and Clouston didn't react in his reply... just said they're all very close outside of Kuba.SensFan71 wrote:Shannon returned in the last game did he not, pretty sure I saw him manning the point on the PP.
meh, no worries there, really need Kuba back on the PP point though, missing this guy in so many facets of the game.

I think the "haters" just want Picard to succeed more than anything. It's frustrating and disappointing to see a guy with size and talent squander his opportunities.
Watch Picard the entire game, really focus on him when he is on the ice, don't watch anyone else. Then come back and tell me he is playing well. He has played like crap. He will improve like all young defensemen, but he is still playing like crap. As for Malkin, he and only he decides when gets "shutdown".marakh wrote:SO you guys heard the part about Picard in that interview?
