for my 2 cents, i'll add that i'm very excited about the upcoming season. leclaire i feel will be dinamyte if he can stay away from injuries.
if regin stays on the second and fisher wings for him we might see a career year in goals(ok so i'm basing that on the pre-season and international tourney).
kovy looked alright and showed off his typical puck posetion skills.
spezza looks more comited and if you notice around the room in interviews the team seems to really have a weight off it's shoulders. could it be that the poison is finally left the locker room?
i 'm in no way surprised that we don't win from the get go. this team is still finding itself with all it's new players.

I disagree, there were quite a few very good shots from the Leafs during that game, plus his poise and positioning were excellent.

At the end of the day, I don't really care lol.

Spezza was actually backchecking quite well, battling for the puck in the defensive end, I don't think I saw any no look drop passes, or maybe I just don't notice them anymore Is anyone excited about this season? - Page 5 668437

all the better for us now the little Spezza is growing up, his party buddy is now gone and he can commit himself to the team, if his newfound responsibility results in 80 pts a year as opposed to 100 like he can get a year, but he contributes more to the team winning, all the better, I am sure all of us would agree on that.

one of the biggest thing i took from the summer of heatley is that no matter how much the media jumped on spezza's back over the years, he's never wanted out, he's focused on getting better and he looks to really want to be a sens. maybe some day he'll get his "A".

maybe it has to do with the # 19, it must turn players into something special just by principle, after Stevie Y and Sakic wore that number and were two of the best ever.

Me too. He faced some really hard shots. I don't want to be the one to blow sunshine up anyone's arses, but he looks like he's turned a corner. We'll see if it lasts - IF it does - look out.

That's the thing with Price, 2 games is not a proverbial corner, things starting going wrong again and I expect him to fold like a cheap tent. If he proves me wrong, then so be it. (part of this disgust I am sure comes from being surrounded by Habs fans that hail him as the next Saint Patrick before anything has been proven by Price)
