I agree. Your pick is your pick. Should who ever picked Gaborik get to change it because he goes out with injury? If you pick a guy, he's your pick, no changing it.

Exactly. All pools centre around the unknown. If you think Gabo or Salo are due for a healthy year, then you take them. If not, you pass. Likewise, if you think Afinogenov or Forsberg are bound to sign with an NHL team at some point, then you take them. If not, you take someone else and stop holding up the proceedings.

This is pretty Diddling selfish, blazer. People have Dung to do and the last thing I want to do is keep watching this pool thread for another minute, let alone a day, let along a week. If you don't pick today, we will move on and you can make your last selection whenever the hell you please.

I think that's a capital suggestion. Brilliant, exactly what we should do. Same for future drafts, if someone wants to defer, they are welcome to wait until the end of the round.

That said, someone picking later could take Afinogenov if he wants to take a chance, so Blazer is not guaranteed his pick.

I don't like the a/b idea, but I'm OK with letting Blazer pick after Cap'n Clutch. And if Afinogenov signs real soon and Marakh takes him, then that's the chance you take.

Pick or wait until the end of the round.

I've got a pick from Marakh. Since he's not going for Afinogenov, let's just move along. Blazer can join in and pick Afinogenov any time (unless someone else picks Max in the inter-rim) or wait until the end and pick anyone.

He's coming back man! We're talking about arguably the best to ever play the game. He doesn't have the the records, but there's never been a player who could do it all like this guy. If I could start a franchise with only one guy, in the peak of his career, in his respective era, Forsberg would be top-3.

But if he doesn't get a contract then he's going to be outscored by Chris Kelly. Heck, Chris Neil. He'd be tied with Chris Nilan, though.

I Agree 100% about his skill at his peak..if he hadn't wrecked his body by doing too much hitting, he'd be racking up top 10 in career points by now and maybe hit top 6..buuuuuut, he's just not healthy anymore..I don't think he'd play more that 20 games even if he does make it back...

The one thing about Forsberg is that he'll never say he's feeling well when he isn't. Even when he came backin 08 he never said his foot was 100% and he wasn't ever openly positive about it before signing. Now, his interviews have a distinctly positive spin (given his standard modus) and you don't dominate an SEL game, putting up 2 points in a 2-1 game when you aren't near full health.

I'm taking a gamble, but every pick I've made has been a gamble. I have one of the youngest squads in the pool. This Forsberg pick is the most researched pick I've made lol and thats not saying much.

My squad is basically just like the Sens: a ton of question marks and the potential for greatness.
