He's coming back man! We're talking about arguably the best to ever play the game. He doesn't have the the records, but there's never been a player who could do it all like this guy. If I could start a franchise with only one guy, in the peak of his career, in his respective era, Forsberg would be top-3.

I Agree 100% about his skill at his peak..if he hadn't wrecked his body by doing too much hitting, he'd be racking up top 10 in career points by now and maybe hit top 6..buuuuuut, he's just not healthy anymore..I don't think he'd play more that 20 games even if he does make it back...

The one thing about Forsberg is that he'll never say he's feeling well when he isn't. Even when he came backin 08 he never said his foot was 100% and he wasn't ever openly positive about it before signing. Now, his interviews have a distinctly positive spin (given his standard modus) and you don't dominate an SEL game, putting up 2 points in a 2-1 game when you aren't near full health.

I'm taking a gamble, but every pick I've made has been a gamble. I have one of the youngest squads in the pool. This Forsberg pick is the most researched pick I've made lol and thats not saying much.

My squad is basically just like the Sens: a ton of question marks and the potential for greatness.

I just wanted to double check because I don't have him (tried various spelling variations) in my spreadsheet (which is fairly comprehensive). And when I googled him I didn't find any official sources (who spell it with the 'k') but I did find some message board chatter, which is how I learned about the Flames' prospect.

I didn't even know you're the Flames GM. I try to stay away from all the Sim League talk (although it clogs up the "Latest Topics" sidebar at times. Any app to filter that list?

Good luck with Backlund. He's gonna start in the AHL, like some of my picks.
