The Heatley Saga: What's in store in the next 30 days?

Even if the deadline rumour is true, it doesn't matter. Deadline or not, Murray will wait for the best possible return and take it when it's available. Whether that's on August 14th, the season opener, or the trade deadline.

I'm going to Portugal, in this little town in the south. We don't have internet there. I could go to the internet cafe, but it's about a 25 minute drive, and there are better things to do in the Algarve than to spend close to an hour in a car just to check if this clown is off my team yet.

FYI, I am basing this solely on a gut feeling. That intuition could be the 24 Garlic Parmesan wings I had from Wild Wing last night though, but either way, you won't miss a thing on the Heatley front.

I don't actually believe that people truly think he will be traded. I would guess people are just voting for that option and believing that their vote can somehow work its way into the mind of Bryan Murray.

Anyhow, it looks like Senschirp confirms that a deadline has been set with his latest blog. Interestingly, he states that communication is a one-way street with the "Heatley camp" unresponsive to the Senators.

I like FLA as the "mystery team", mostly for the possible return.

Let me start with the Defensive swap:

No onto the Forwards:
Sure why not? But that is just because I like Berglund so much. The contracts we will be getting will be alright with Berglund becoming a RFA in 2011 and Boyes a UFA in 2012.

no I truly believe he WILL be traded. Murray has been bitten by the locker room drama enough already. And as mellow as the team and the coach say they are, there won't be a welcome party for him and it won't be the same in that dressing room

Prepare yourself for a stinky return of players than. The good news is our dressing room will be free from drama and our cap will be better balanced this year and next hopefully. That is if we get a perfect return.

The thing is we won't though. We will get back a big contract and at least one guy with baggage that Clouston will need to clean up.

Now I don't pretend to know anyone on the Sabres except for Vanek and Miller. Who do they have worth trading for?

I admit, I have never heard of Senschirp but people on here keep talking about him. Everything I hear from you guys about him, I just shake my head.

In this latest case, does Senschirp not realize that Dany Heatley has a NMC and will never accept a trade to Buffalo?

If I was SensChirp, why bother even pretending that you heard this news?
