No deal. I want Staal or Dubinsky, or I want Phaneuf. Boyle is useless to me right now, Del Zotto is major redundancy and Higgins shouldn't be a centerpiece of this.

WE don't need Staal anyways, I'd rather take some forwards, and I prefer young proven players than prospects.

zsival is a right handed shot, he would be a welcome addition to that blueline in Ottawa. Crappy contract or not, they need a right handed shot who can get it to the net.

I was thinking that, he's not too bad. I'm not sure we need another 5 million dollar middle-tied D-man, but I could take that and not be mad - as long as we get other nice pieces with him.

I adore these two guys. Anisimov is a 6'3", big dude, great 2 way player, awesome passer, finisher, the whole 9. Stud prospect.

Grachev is more of a wildcard IMO, 6'3" as well, but doesn't skate as well as Anisimov, switched to wing, can drive the net with authority. A little bit of a question of work ethic at times apparently, but could be a stud as well.

One of Dubinsky or Staal would fit the need for more nicely priced, young talent, both are excellent players already.

Higgins is a powerful 2-way forwards. Yet another guy who's been made the goat in Montreal, who's gonna move on and be amazing for whatever team he ends up with ( )

That seems to be the knock. Perhaps it's the effort he puts into skating at times.

Maybe it's nothing now, he's stronger, older and wiser.

Ummm, he was one of the best skaters on that Russian team... I dont care if pro scouts sya he cant skate, the guy can. Ive actually hung out in the stands with some with some former coaches, there are reasons botom feeders are bottom feeders.

that's the way i see it, that's the way i call it.

i don't think montreal mucked-up. they can't sign anybody down here(MTL) so at least that opens up doors as far as changes. i heard the sedins didn't rule out going to montreal.. now sedin on the first line gomez on the second... not bad.
