GDT#28: Senators @ Montreal: 7:30 PM, Dec 4

The Sens are in Montreal to visit the Habs.  I really don't think either of these teams have legit playoff hopes, but if either does, games like these are critical.  Ottawa's on a 3 game winning streak.

Lines will be something like this:

Dzingel-Duchene-Batherson
Tkachuk-White-Stone
Boedker-Tierney-Ryan
Pyatt-Smith-Paajarvi

Chabot-Demelo
Harpur-Ceci
Falk-Jaros

And starts.

It's normal for a team to have a letdown after a huge, emotional game like the tilt vs San Jose this past Saturday.

The last (and only) game that Tkachuk played against the Habs was a loss (in pre-season). I think he will be like a kid (bull) in a candy (china) shop. No let down. Price has been very average of late. A regulation win ties them with the Habs, with the same number of games played, and they are already 2 ROWs ahead, so that's the second tie-breaker.

Of course there's still the Canes and Rangers but if both lose in regulation the Sens would be in a playoff spot.

Ugh. Ceci, Harpur, and Pyatt can leave anytime please and thanks.

It shouldn’t be this hard against the Habs

Refs didn't help. But Ceci needs to do something positive or he's not even getting a QO. As much as we all think the management likes him, Dorion too him to arbitration. This was a "prove-it" season. He certainly hadn't proven that he's with $4M+.

Ugly.

Not good enough.

That was ugly. There were periods of time where there was no hustle. Ceci and Harpur need to be thought how to play defense or simply remove them from the roster.

Once the Habs started really using their speed, our D had no ability to keep up. Price played really well, and Anderson was mediocre again. Plus, we were due for a letdown after our big W over San Jose, whereas the Habs were coming off a loss.

I expect we'll win tomorrow when the Habs are in town for the back half of this home and home.

I hope theres a huge effort.

A win tomorrow will hardly be enough. I want a line brawl.
