What video game are you playing?

Arkham City when I am not playing NHL. And I bought Goldeneye but haven't played it, lent it to my brother.

And also, what should I play when I'm not playing NHL? I have Oblivion and I have Fable II I think...these? Or something else? I found Fallout 3 awesome, but I took a break from it. Big fan of the Final Fantasy style games providing they're not too complicated to get into etc.

Well, it's made by the same people that did Fallout 3...if you liked that, and like Final Fantasy, well, then it's a match made in heaven for you. And you mentioned you like grinding, which means you'll just like this even more.

It's open-world, and unbelieveably huge. I've probably spent about 20 hours and have just barely begun the main story line...stuff about dragons and whatnot. You don't need any of the backstory from the previous games to jump right into this one.

I warn you though, this game will suck away your time like no other.

What about the previous Elder Scrolls, Oblivion? Have you played that? I ask because I bought that on a whim a while ago and haven't started it.

Yeah, I played Oblivion a little on the PC. Skyrim is basically a better, prettier version. Same open-world concept. I'm warning you though…once you start, you won't be able to stop. Skyrim will be game of the year on all the platforms, I bet.

No. Skyrim is awesome and somewhat revolutionary. MW3 is more of the same.

I'm kind of intrigued by Skyrim, but I wasn't a fan of Fallout, and never got into FF or even Fable.

I'm not opposed to RPG style games though.

What I would ove to see is a new GTA style game (not LA Noire) set in a Game of Thrones type environment.

And a GTA style Zombie game. Not like Dead Rising, and not like L4D. But complete free roam, not "Monsters", just regular zombies. Make it so you can secure safe houses, meet up with others but also go on your own if you wish. Undead Redemption was sort of cool, but they had too many monster-type zombies.

You basically just described Skyrim... Skyrim has tons of depth, and you need not get into all of it if you don't want to. I would argue that Skyrim's environments are also a lot more believable (realistic?) than GTAs.

I may have to check it out, maybe buy it if and when it drops/becomes used.

I am playing Uncharted 3 now, slowly, I don't wanna finish it. Still the best series of this generation IMO.

And I bought Metal Gear HD Collection, will play this holiday even if I already played the games on every platform possible...

If you have a ps3 and haven't played Ico and Shadow of the colossus (ps2 games) I suggest to buy them, the're 39.99 I think, the HD revamped ps3 version. Those are magical games, the atmosphere is amazing.
