That is hilarious. It's a big deal - a really big trade, so I guess that makes sense.

Johnson won't be going anywhere. Now if the 2013 Jays suck, Johnson will get moved at the deadline, which would allow the Jays to recoup much of what they gave up to the Marlins yesterday.

Check this stat:

"They only have seven players left from their opening day roster in 2012, and another pitcher, Ricky Nolasco who's due to make $11.5 million in 2013 is said to be on the way out of town as well. The Marlins' opening day payroll for last season was $112 million. Now they're down to somewhere between $16 and $20 million."

Marlins fans must be pissed at all this.

It's been a long time since I was excited about something that happened in the MLB. I love me a good blockbuster.

They've been Loria'd. I know how that feels.

Apparently the trade has not been sent to Selig for approval yet... so it is still not official.

Meh, it's because they're all in GM meetings or whatever. He'll sign off on it today or tomorrow latest.

I listend to Jim Rome a bit yesterday on the radio, and he was torching the Marlins. I guess that's pretty much the jist of it.

Man, the Marlins are getting torched everywhere. ESPN cut them a new a-hole last night calling them a disgrace.

Via John Heyman:

Selig said to be "not happy" w/ #marlins trade, but so far doesn't see basis to disallow. Selig's quote: "under review"

Marlins fans must be pissed at all this.

That's a lot of additional tax revenues for Canada. 40% tax rate, give or take a few points. Bet you those players won't be too happy when they get their first paychecks.

Yeah, they're gonna take a hit there with the increase in tax, but it's been suggested the Jays would work something to off-set that.

Like moving to Miami, after the Marlins move to Montreal?

Jays keep spending?......

"The Toronto Blue Jays continue to be the busiest team in baseball.

They have reportedly signed left-fielder Melky Cabrera on a two-year $16 million contract, according to ESPN Desportes, ESPN’s Spanish-language affiliate.

Nothing has been officially announced by the Blue Jays.

Crazy.

They are loading up.

Not sure if Melky is what they need.... distraction?

At any rate, Jays are going for it.
