How the mighty Red Sox have fallen. The poor manager selection really had a big effect on their club.

I think that had an effect but they just needed to start over after it was clear guys like Beckett weren't the right fit anymore. How they got rid of all those contracts is beyond me.

With tons of cash available now, I'm interested to see what they can do this off-season. I'm hoping they can go after Josh Hamilton.

For the thousands and thousands I have paid Rogers over the years, I have never been as happy as I am tonight. The Jays got some guys. Like the NHL, I really don't care how much money they make, I just want the best team.

What a whopper of a trade! Gave up some up and coming youth, but they landed some big legit ones, and exactly where the Jays needed the help. Nicely done AA.

That's a lot of talent and $$$ headed to Toronto. Wow. Seems lopsided but I guess we'll see how it all plays out. Incredible deal. 12-players in total.

I think Buehrle is in the last year of his deal, but yeah, this is a big trade, and seems designed to really push for the playoffs next year. Of course, being Jays now, I'm sure most of these guys will be injured before the end of spring training.

The one night I don't check the internet the biggest trade happens. It figures.

Sucks to lose Hech, but what a haul. Hope it works out! Looks damn good on paper.

There is talk of possibly more moves by the Jays. Name mentioned was Arencibia with the arrival of Buck. Maybe get another pitcher?

Josh Johnson's agent also said he would not be surprised if Josh got moved again.

That is hilarious. It's a big deal - a really big trade, so I guess that makes sense.

Johnson won't be going anywhere. Now if the 2013 Jays suck, Johnson will get moved at the deadline, which would allow the Jays to recoup much of what they gave up to the Marlins yesterday.

I thought the same.
