Buffalo 1st round pick, Zagrapan, signs to play in Russia

Centre Marek Zagrapan will play in Russia next season whether the Buffalo Sabres like it or not.

The Sabres' 2005 first-round draft pick has signed a three-year deal
to play for Severstal Cherepovets of Russia's Kontinental Hockey
League, Zagrapan's agent, Petr Svoboda, said Tuesday.

I don't disagree. But it's not like they lost a great player to the KHL. The fact that he seemed to be a flop/bust mitigates most of the disappointment of losing a player taken so high in the draft.
