Hey congrats on making it to 2000 posts. BTW if you hit 5000 you become a MR Montagoose. 10,000 is SIR Montagoose. That's right you are knighted at 10,000 LOL. Sorry Heater you will always stay listed as Co-Founder. I'm sure you don't mind though right?

now I know what I have to strive towards, so the first Mr. Montagoose we shall see is our beloved DTR then, and I can't imagine him minding the whole co-founder thing, chicks dig co-founders lol.

I wouldn't count out Shabbs just yet. I think DTR has some business commitments that will reduce his normally high level of posting and Shabbs has been on fire of late.

Shabbs...I don't mind people disagreeing, but don't misquote me...or take my statements out of context.

And what is it with people and the Blackhawks anyway?

They're having a great year. Tallon and Co have built a contender after years of mediocrity. The building's full. The team's exciting.

Huet didn't want to talk to the reporters? Can anybody blame him? His teammates stunk out the joint and he got shelled in maybe the most important game of the year.

Contracts and cap issues coming up after the season?

All part of the Good Old Hockey Game.

But somehow--there's a perverse delight in trying find things wrong with the picture.

Situation in Chicago? Yeah, right...like there's a situation with 29 other teams. Each one has a situation. All depends how you look at it.

Give the kids from Chicago some credit.

Again, I personally think Huet will be fine when he's given the reigns - and especially after a full year of learning the tendancies of Keith, Seabrook, Campbell etc.

I think the odd men out are Barker and the potential is there for Sopel to be bought out, but the Sens should be so 'unlucky' than to have Keith, Seabrook, Kane, Toews and Sharp.

A couple of years down the road, Campbell will probably have to go, but for now, Chicago's fine.

All I did was post something that Mark Spector wrote and I happen to agree with.

And all I did was make a sarcastic remark. It's what I do. It's why I added the *wink wink* at the end. You know, in jest.

Every team has a situation and every team can be seen as a model team at some point in their history. Hell, the Sens were a "model" team at one point for having a very low salary while managing success year after year.

Clutch, I wouldn't ever confuse Mark Spector with Lyle 'Spector' Richardson.

Mr. Spector can write whatever he thinks he needs to do to fill the space in his column on Sportsnet.

Frankly, I've found little of any lasting value in ANYTHING he writes about ANY team.

My opinion on his piece?

BeatingaDeadHorse

And as you know, I have posted more than one article critical of the Chicago Blackhawks, including those by writers in the Chicago press.

But then, there are VERY few writers in the Mainstream Hockey Media I consider worthy of note.

I consider the opinions of the Members of this GM Hockey Forum infinitely more valuable.
