4 year 12ish million. Comes from a good source.

Not yet confirmed.

A lot of $$ for Stoll. Wew.

Now confirmed - and it's more than that.

Good Lord. He had one really nice year, but he's been on the downs since then. Another case of a player being paid on optimistic potential.

I know...he's good though...but wow, does Vermette ever look good right now.

Could be as high as 13.5 apparently. Yikes, really, quite a lot of $$.

But if Stoll got that much, then how much is O'Sullivan slated to make? 4.5?

Rachael Hunter should be pleased.

My opinion? Or what's gonna happen?

My opinion is 5.5 X 7ish, what's gonna happen is 4 X 4.

According to Sportsnet.ca, the deal is 4 yrs, $14 mil, or $3.5 mil / yr:

That's a little silly to be honest.

The Kings *need* to spend money. And Stoll did have a great season in his second full year (a sophomore surge?) That's what they must be counting on -- another 70 (or close) point season. Otherwise, yeah, he compares unfavorably to Vermette, and at a significant salary premium to boot.

By the way, Vermette was 6th in the league in face offs, and was on nearly a point-per-game pace once the deadline passed. Now that he's on a multi-year contract, and hopefully with second-line and second PP unit minutes, playing with Alfie, I don't see why he could not continue at that pace for a full season. 70 points is not out of the question.

I think he might be the Sen I'm most excited about to be honest. He picked up his consistency a lot down the stretch and paired with talented offensive players (read: not Chris Kelly and/or Chris Neil) has a real legit chance at 70.

I have a feeling I'll be looking back on this off-season and thinking that this was our best signing. By far.

Vermette should shine this year. If he doesn't, he'll be packing his bags, and thankfully, his great contract will be easy to move. But, no pressure, you know?

This was released days ago though, why so many days to make it final?

Terms went up though. I heard it may pass yesterday, but I didn't hear it was released. He got an extra year and an extra 400K ish per year I believe. Good for him, he's giving up valuable UFA time, so...yeah, who'm I kidding, it's way too much.

If he was eating up our cap space like that I'd be pissed but for them... who cares.
