Penalties cost both teams...as the Teemunator buries a PP missile and we are even.

One mistake...and it's over...or not.

A momentary lapse in coverage and a brilliant incursion by Captain Nick.

These are the playoffs!!!

That was closer than I expected. I'm hoping it's just rust, otherwise my 6-game prediction is in a little bit of jeopardy. I mean, sure, a win's a win, but that's 2 PP goals out of 3. Then again, if Anaheim tries to play within the rules they won't be as effective.

Osgood was pretty good, wasn't he. That was a little more than "competent".

Pretty darn close indeed...the Wings really didn't have any answers for the Getzlaf-Scott Niedermayer combo...Getz would play the point while Nieds would drive the net and cause all kinds of chaos down low.

On the other side, Johan Franzen...this guy has to be one of the best in the business right now.

Lidstrom obviously played a key role, but Jonathan Ericsson showed once again that he may well be heir to the Nick. This kid is awesome.

James Wisniewski was very solid indeed, confirming yet again that Bob Murray is a MUCH better GM than Brian Burke.

This game gave every indication of being the beginning of a classic series.

Now...all we need are a few OT games...

IMO 5 and the game was enough... The hit wasnt late and Hudler had his head down.

And I wonder if the cut was from the visor or from the ice... hard to tell. He was admiring his pass for quite some time... in the "no no" zone...

This is, after all, the Ducks... and the Pronger rule applies.

Yeh I think it was the visor that cut him.
