I think Armstrong is gonna be there for the World Cup or whatever, but I also support what Marak was saying. I hope there's some NHL scouts ready to make Murray some offers for Auld.

I would offer a 3rd immediately (in the off-season) for him if I was Calgary.

Maybe there can be a little bidding war and we can push it to a 2nd, but I doubt that pretty highly.

We can just send Elliott back to the AHL and let him work on his technique, but I doubt that helps him a whole lot.

Still, I like Auld a lot (have the shirt to prove it) and think he's the better of the two at this stage.

I have a really hard time trading Auld personally. Can't we just wait until the deadline like you said the other day? Who knows if Leclaire will STAY healthy next year. There are no guarantees. If he goes down we have Elliott and that's it. I'm really not comfortable with that at this point. Remember the year Hasek went down and Emery was thrown in the fire? It really didn't work out for us in the end.

Elliott should be even better than he's been this year if he continues to work hard this summer. It wouldn't be the end of the world to go into battle with him.

It's an interesting situation though. He's earned a back-up job in the NHL for now, but I'm not sure if he can have it.
