Oh, without a doubt, it helped. I'm sure he did some vocal and music training early on; probably knew a few guys to help with an audition tape. And being in the right place (LA) definitely didn't hurt.

Yeh being in LA for sure... You dont here too many people from Neguac, New-Brunswick, Canada making it big lol... That's were im originally from haha.

Miley Cyrus can sing dude, and she can reach very low lows and very high highs. No auto tune can give you that voice.

How do people get a gig doing that act? A sort of ok looking girl gets Donkey naked on the stage doing this stupid disappearing handkerchief act and she's getting play at a comedy festival (or whatever it was).

Well, it takes a lot of courage to get naked in front of that many people and risk looking stupid, not too mention the judgmental comments/heckling. And she engages the crowd quite well. It was a well done act.

All I have to say about this video is WOW! Well worth the watch.

I'm a big fan of TED.com. It's a website where specialists in their field give talks about new ideas in the fields of Technology, Entertainment and Design. They've had notable speakers such as Jane Goodall, Al Gore, Steven Levitt, Jared Diamond, and Phillipe Starck. One of my favourites was actually a talk given by J.J.Abrams, as I am a big fan of his (woo Lost!).
