Perhaps it's confusing. Is this forum for any and all general hockey talk that does not belong anywhere else?

Lounge works.

Making it it's own area could encourage traffic, as for new/infrequent visitors it would be more obvious.

When I started on here, it was a little unclear where to start.

It is difficult I agree but the fact that all members can create topics etc... in most of the forums, I believe, Is fairly unique and I don't want to lose that despite having almost 700 topics so far. I will see how I can give this it's own space without cluttering the site up again. I've been trying to trim things down a bit.

Maybe it's the overall grouping that's throwing people off. The "Fighting Montagoose" group is a mix mash of stuff - a general hockey talk forum, a blog analysis forum and a random non-hockey related discussion forum.

I like the idea of a general hockey discussion forum because it can be tedious wading through the 30 sub-forums in the "Around the League" area to see what's been going on.

I dunno.

Excellent point Shabbs. It's a work in progress. I'll fiddle some more. The thirty teams thing is in anticipation of a growing membership base which will be fans of those teams.

I'm liking it. More logical... flows better. This should help to drive more discussion into your "Lounge" area.

So, who can post in this forum? I'm confused... I was going to start a thread but can't post here.

If I wanted to start a general hockey discussion, not specific to any team, where would I go?

Is Random Thoughts for hockey related discussion as well? Or is it purely non-hockey?

You put it in here dude. Not a new topic just start discussing in here like we used to do at HB. Here I'll show you what I mean.

I say no. Just run with Auld and hope Gerber strains something so he can go on LTIR :D
