Say what you want, he's a loser in my books. Good for him that he has a Cup ring, saying stuff like this will come back to him at some point.

Oh, I think this will come back to haunt him as well, but right now he is totally justified in what he is saying and like it or not, he has basically been a winner everywhere he has been aside from Ottawa. Even Columbus may now be a playoff team with him... I would say he is far from a loser.

He's right, Ottawa is a mess and he is worth more than people originally thought.

and about the money, what was he supposed to do? say no? I'm, sure he would of signed here for less, but he wasnt even given an offer.
I agree with this point of view. I'm glad we didn't re sign him but I don't mind hearing what he has to say. Especially if it sheds some light on the senators 2008 struggles.

It may have been poor timing (and somewhat stupid), but if you listen to what he said, it parallels what everyone else had been saying. It only serves to reinforce the image of a dysfunctional locker room. What concerns me is his description of Murray - I have been a strong supporter of Bryan, but there have been several times where I've wondered why he was coming off as if he was trying to pass the blame.

If Commodore was brought in without a clear mandate, and Paddock wasn't able to give him one, then some of the blame clearly lies in Paddock's lap. But some has to lie in Murray's lap as well, for not keeping the issue behind closed doors. (And you have to look at the veteran D on the team too, since they should have been able to put together a unified system on their own, given that Paddock was useless at the best of times)

I certainly don't think we should have signed him, and I don't think he is worth what he got, but he is certainly worth more than $1.5M to CBJ. As Tukker and beerandsens both wrote, however, we need to listen to the message, without the natural emotional response that it will tend to evoke.

The timing of the comments are only because the Sens were in town. I'm sure the Columbus fish hacks were looking for something to write aobut. I don't see how Commodore would make this stuff up. Even if the story is embellished, there has to be some truth to it.

Blow this Diddle thing up right Diddle now.
