As for Hartsburg, I read this somewhere and it makes sense. Delusional or not, if Melnyk thinks this is a top-four team then Hartsburg is in trouble. Not Murray, because he seems to have put together a top-four team. So it must be on Hartsburg.

But please, oh please, don't even think about giving Melrose a call.

I was thinking the same thing. Big problems if Melnyk thinks this is a top 4 team in any league.
we could be top 10 maybe in the OHL...

This is one of the worst teams I have ever seen. And I've seen the golden pukes of Pittsburgh and Florida. Unreal. Absolutely pathetic.

Murray makes moves or he's shown the door.

Hartsburg is in waaaaaay over his head. Wow.

Shubert moved outta the way, Volchenkov would have saved that one...

Wow, they are actually worse than I thought. They are not playing for anyone, not even themselves, its pathetic.

Keep Alfi, Keep Phillips, everyone else is fair game. The reason I say keep those two is because you need at least two guys here who really know what it takes to win, and really want to be Ottawa Senators.

Blow it right up.

Burns as GM, Quinn as coach.

Gas the entire management team here. How can it possibly be acceptable to not compete with a 50 million dollar payroll.

Why Phillips? He's taking up 3.5 million and sucks. Gas everyone except Alfie, Heatley and Volchenkov (unless there's a deal too good to pass up).

Gas 'em all. This is unacceptable.

But then you take a step back and realize that this team is made up of a bunch of scrubs and the top line - so no one has any value at all.

Hilarious. Murray must be held accountable. It's not even really Hartsburg's fault - although we desperately need a real NHL coach.

I don't recall you saying that. You kept saying gas Spezza. Do you want a new management team as well? If so, count me in.

as much as Heatley has been playing like sh*t...I'd keep him...he has loads of skills...

and how did you forget about Volch? I'd keep him over Phillips any day...

Oh yeah. Phillips sucks. Keep Volchenkov and try to persuade Phillips to waive.

Yep.

Unfortunately O'Brien's settling into a checking role and is at least 2 years away. Damn.

Karlsson's ready, but needs 2 years to bulk up and stock up on hockey sense.

While I don't think Hartsburg is to blame for this mess...and he is a goof coach for a re-build with the youth coming in...

I still say Torts should get the job...

By far the best coach without a job...forget Quinn...Torts is the man...

No clue what managment should do, but if Murray has proved anything in the NHL it's he knows how to build a team. Ive been saying get rid of Spezza because he is the easy guy to get rid of and then the team is forced to rebuild, which I wanted.

You sill need NHL players on a team no matter what, and Phillips being a 10 year memeber of the Sens, good in the city, great with the kids and community, and a good D man, should be here for the rebuild if he wants to, same with Alfi. They are both character guys with a lot of expierence that could go a long way with the future Sens coming along.

Get rid of Heatley too, there really isnt a point to having him around either if this team is just going to be Dung for the next 3 years. Why waste his prime and pay out major money to someone? No point to it.

That's where you and I disagree I guess. I don't like Torts for this team - and especially not for a re-building team.

Karlsson is NHL ready from every aspect, he is just too small right now, he needs to put on 15-20lbs to play. He is NHL ready, no doubt in my mind after watching that kid play.

O'Brien is hardly in a checking role, that U.S team is loaded up front.
