we could be top 10 maybe in the OHL...504Heater wrote:wprager wrote:They're playing tonight? Woohoo! I don't care if they win or lose anymore. Both outcomes have perks.
As for Hartsburg, I read this somewhere and it makes sense. Delusional or not, if Melnyk thinks this is a top-four team then Hartsburg is in trouble. Not Murray, because he seems to have put together a top-four team. So it must be on Hartsburg.
But please, oh please, don't even think about giving Melrose a call.
I was thinking the same thing. Big problems if Melnyk thinks this is a top 4 team in any league.

Burns as GM, Quinn as coach.
Gas the entire management team here. How can it possibly be acceptable to not compete with a 50 million dollar payroll.
Neely4Life wrote:Wow, they are actually worse than I thought. They are not playing for anyone, not even themselves, its pathetic.
Keep Alfi, Keep Phillips, everyone else is fair game. The reason I say keep those two is because you need at least two guys here who really know what it takes to win, and really want to be Ottawa Senators.
Blow it right up.

Ive been saying that for a very long time.

as much as Heatley has been playing like sh*t...I'd keep him...he has loads of skills...
and how did you forget about Volch? I'd keep him over Phillips any day...

Why Phillips? He's taking up 3.5 million and sucks. Gas everyone except Alfie, Heatley and Volchenkov (unless there's a deal too good to pass up).
Gas 'em all. This is unacceptable.
But then you take a step back and realize that this team is made up of a bunch of scrubs and the top line - so no one has any value at all.
Hilarious. Murray must be held accountable. It's not even really Hartsburg's fault - although we desperately need a real NHL coach.

I don't recall you saying that. You kept saying gas Spezza. Do you want a new management team as well? If so, count me in.
COLLAR UP wrote:While I don't think Hartsburg is to blame for this mess...and he is a goof coach for a re-build with the youth coming in...
I still say Torts should get the job...
By far the best coach without a job...forget Quinn...Torts is the man...

Yep.
Unfortunately O'Brien's settling into a checking role and is at least 2 years away. Damn.
Karlsson's ready, but needs 2 years to bulk up and stock up on hockey sense.
