I feel like he kinda took a shot at us there at the end of the article.

No, I don't think so. St.Louis is a playoff team, they're on the upswing. It's a fair statement.

Well, hh was one of our better offensive d-men, and wasn't even expected to make the team full time... and now he's being ridiculed for a comment that can neither be confirmed nor denied as possibly insulting?

Why can't you look at it as him showing gratitude to a team that signed him and showing confidence that they have a chance at making the playoffs? Who in their right mind would say the opposite of what he did?

"I look forward to taking a step back in my career by signing with a non-playoff team"?

Fair or not, it was something he possibly didn't mean to say. I know it's something he shouldn't have said.
