Neil injured

Chris Neil has been injured. The extent it not yet know. Expect Cody Bass to be called up.

Great, one of the only guys showing that he gives a damn is out now. Well, you can expect even less energy out of this team now, if thats possible.

Wait, you're right...Zubov stays up, Ruutu comes in.

Good, because I thought Zubov had a very strong game. He looks pretty comfortable IMO, would like to see him add some slickness and skill up front (to compensate for the horrendously slow, boring D we have).

Didn't N4L mention yesterday that it was injuries that turned our season around in 06-07? I want to see more call ups.

Come to think of it, when did this team start playing well? When Gerber was injured.

Oh, and why is Richardson up in the booth with Murray? If we are going to carry an extra roster spot let's use it for punishment/motivation. Everyone feels safe because they only have enough players to fill out a lineup card, plus Richardson. Bring up two players, send Richardson to Bingo, and rotate players through the doghouse.

Actually, Richardson's working up there. You might have noticed that he's got an earpiece in. That's because he's wired to the assistant coaches down at ice level. He's giving them a bird's-eye report on how the team is doing shift in and shift out, identifying problems that the coaches can act on.

Great guy, Richardson. Helping the team anyway he can. And clearly getting ready for a career in the organization after he's playing days are done (or have they been done already for a year now?).

This season is quickly turning into a horror show for us. Let's hope someone can help turn it around.

Yeah just about the only consolation would be the fact that we would get an instant impact player AND we would have all that money to shore up other spots on the roster.

Honestly, I think we are due. We've been a top team for a long time now, and we desperately need to replenish the farm system with quality talent. We have some talent, but no blue chippers. I go green with envy looking at St Louis' farm system. Of course, a price needs to be paid for that, and that price is sucking balls for a few years at least.
