2019 Mock Drafts

I don’t think Lavoie would be a reach from what I’ve been reading. He had a beastly playoffs and was ranked high before.

At 19, I think he would be.

Personally, I like the sounds of Matthew Boldy

I like Lavoie, but I’d rather have Seider. Way before I did my mock, I said on this site that the Sens would take Lavoie because of their recent success in drafting from the Q ie. Chabot and Batherson.

I also like doing my mock before McKenzie because I usually like his rankings and don’t want to be swayed by them.

You sure do love your Russians as long as they’ve come over to NA as a kid.

Afanasyev is the guy I booted from my 1st round mock draft when you noticed I forgot Seider. He has a high shot volume, tons of flair and confidence, can stick handle with the best of them, has size and strength. His only issue, and it comes with his size is his first couple steps and his overall quickness. It’s almost impossible to be his age and size and have those things though.

This TSN mock that just came out is very similar to mine. I think that will mean I’m very wrong.

Edited due to the Jets getting their 20th overall back from the Rangers.

Today is the day I get 7 of my top 10 right in my mock and 33% overall! Yay me.

McMichael and Mastrosimone are starting to make some noise in regards to sneaking into the 1st round. I don’t think I want to edit my mock, I really like it.

I would make a mock but it would just be a complete random guess lol. Haven't followed most of the guys.

Sometimes those are the best. I did entirely too much work with mine. From draft tendencies, the BPA, to positional needs, to scouting patterns, etc. I’m hoping for 50% accuracy, but 33% would still be above the norm.

Egor Afanasyev sounds like a great pick at 19. HUGE guy, soft hands.

I ask mostly because the prospect guy on HF I listen to the most, BondraTime is big on him too.

I've only seen youtube highlights but I like what I see. Not sure about 19, but if the draft is all over the place then who knows. I got a lot of respect for a Russian coming to play in the USHL.
