Anderson starting is a bad call butt they should win regardless.

MacArthur is a beast

Anderson starts.

I guess he's not getting more shifts, after all.

I am questioning two decisions here: starting Anderson back-to-back when he's been sub-par for a number of games, and leaving in Kelly. I doubt that CMac will be anywhere near full speed, so that fourth line will be *slow*.

Happy for Clarke but very worried.

MacArthur has been training for months, he should be faster than everyone

White played four games in five nights

Also, it's obviously entirely Mac's decision here to return. The team isn't making him do this. I'm pumped for him. The emotion for the team should be off the charts.

If this isn't the spark this team needs, I don't know what is.

Cussing go all out here and you might actually have Clarke MacArthur back for the playoffs.  Amazing.

Excellent period for Clarke. Insane goal by Karlsson -- he totally meant to do that.

But the team is being outplayed soundly.

Stalberg looked like he took Phaneuf's slapper right to the ribs. Went right to the room after getting off. Good thing they didn't go with my suggestion of dressing 11F.

Sens back in second where they'd spent most of the season. Need to solidify that with a win on Thursday.

Clarke had a good game. Great, when factoring in the fact he's played 5 games in the last two seasons. Counting tonight as the 5th.

So, how do you guys like my boy Big Ben Harpur? Like him now, don't you. Very solid game, I felt. Didn't get rattled. Boucher had him out in the last minute with the extra man on for Detroit. That's so unlike Guy, I'm guessing he asked Karlsson to go out and Erik said "Nah, I'm good, send the kid."

Boro in the crease? The Detroit end? OK.

Of course before we get too far ahead of ourselves, that was the Detroit Red Wings. Things will be different on Thursday.

The Sens have yet to lose to the Bruins this season so, there is that to factor in.

We're going to need to go ahead and take care of the Bruins this Thursday. Permanently.

A near perfect gane,  beauty.

Claesson looks like he's close to being a really solid dman.  Top 4 in his future potentially.  Still knocked off pucks sometimes, maybe gain more mass or muscle,  but really liking him.

They gave up 20 shots in their first meeting, 27 in the second one, and 35 in the third one. That last one the Bruins were playing the second of back-to-back nights. I hope trends are made to be reversed as I don't like our chances if we give up 45 shots on goal.

If Marchand gets at least one game that will certainly help. He is (almost) a 40-goal scorer *and* he occupies people's attention in other ways. But even if he is out of the lineup we have to contend with Bergeron, Pastrnak, Krejci, Spooner, Krug, Chara, Backes, etc. Need Burrows to annoy the hell out of Rask (if he's in goal) because we certainly want to take advantage of what their D give us (which should be a lot).

There's intangibles to account for as well like the boost of having MacArthur as an inspiration, Anderson could go full beastmode, King Karl is unstoppable right now.

Any injury update on karlsson? They weren't playing him at the end of the game. I'm wondering if he's ready to go for the next game.
