Another huge test for our Senatores tonight vs the Jets. Winnipeg is 6-2-2 in their last 10, and has been playing some good hockey. Their one weakness might be in goal, so we'll see if we face Pavelec or Hutchinson. Pavelec hasn't started in a couple weeks....

We'll have to wait and see if there are any other lineup changes tonight. This is a tough back-to-back with the travel from Minnesota to Winnipeg at the end of a long road trip. Seems like the flu might be an issue as well.

I don't want to talk about Friday. That would be a classic Ottawa loss after beating some of the league's best.

But this is a helluva tough test tonight against a really good Jets team in less than ideal circumstances.

Hammy looked a bit tired. And I'm not just agreeing with Simmer. He was down on his knees during the shootout and the second goal was also scored over his shoulder while he was down.

Karlsson had 35 minutes of ice time last night. How effective could he be back to back with travel the night before, to boot?

We've got Greening and Cowen who are well rested, along with Anderson. Hell, why not call up Wideman and rest Gryba.

Winnipeg leads the league in the number of times they've been short-handed. If Wideman could help out PP it would really help.

So there's no chance of Wideman being called-up, Walter, or else it would've already happened.

Cowen had the flu, so how "well-rested" is he?

Anderson is starting, so any point about Hammy being tired is out the window at this point.

Hammond is very active in net. Even when he's down he moves his pads a lot. Not a goalie who just lets the shots hit him by any stretch. He may have been tired but he still hung in there real well.

Karlsson should attract attention to how tired he is by having an oxygen tank on the bench and doing a lot of exaggerated yawns and stretches sort of like Subban was carrying on when he was playing "injured."

Gryba has been rock solid and I couldn't be happier that he wasn't dealt. I'm not sure why you would rest him or how anyone can say anything negative about that guy. Ever.

Yeah, Karlsson was really good, and then turned into a turnover machine in the 3rd/OT.

Karlsson started a nice tic-tac-toe play on the Wild's first goal too. But, unlike the experts, I can ignore even these glaring mistakes because he's just been so good otherwise. Even last night if you consider the whole game, the great outweighed the horrible.

I'm sure Puempel comes out for Greening. Didn't see the guy after that stupid penalty in the first.

Matrix will start. As our insider Vandelay suggested, Greening is in for Matt "Pumpy" Puempel.
