Let's see how Lazar and Paul do against other kids.

Canada has another exhibition game on Tuesday vs the Swiss.

Team Canada's Schedule:

26th vs Slovakia
27th vs Germany
29th vs Finland
31st vs United States (at 4pm for some dumb reason)

Reason for the 4pm start time is to get the team to Toronto asap... which yes is stupid but oh well.

Hopefully Paul can make a name for himself like Stone did in this tourny and hopefully Lazar is actually the messiah everyone expects him to be.

Expectations are really too high for Lazar to live up to them, but I'm happy just watching the kid. Always smiling, which is not something you see really ever. Hopefully he puts up a bunch of points, but I'm not concerned one way or the other.

Looks like he's been given a role as a banger. Don't think he's going to show up on the scoresheet all that much. But he'll make an impression.

Shocker! Russia down 2-0 to Denmark after one. I expect the second period to be brutal. Denmark is riding their top line, that won't last 60 minutes.

Lazar's worth will come to the fore when they play a real opponent. He plays in all three zones, even strength, penalty kill and powerplay. This game is like an All Star affair but instead of East vs. West it's Canada vs. The World, back when Canadian players made up 80% of the league.

Box score shows Lazar with zeroes across the board. McDavid and Ritchie had two shots each.
