Yeah, I think when the Friedman speaks, we should listen. If he says he "expects" Spezza to be traded, that means he's hearing it from legit sources. He wouldn't "expect" something to happen just based on his own thoughts. This is the difference between the Friedman and us mere mortals.
SpezDispenser wrote:It's happening. We're not paying Spezza 50 million dollars to play here for the next 7 years, so it's happening. We can't let him walk for nothing, so it's happening. We can't risk him getting hurt and not being able to deal him at the deadline.
Etc. etc. etc.

IMO he damn well should because that's the kind of place he could be somewhat of the guy (Weber and Renne run the show) and be totally invisible off the ice.
I used to think Wilson is a guy you would want on the wing on your top 2 lines but his lack of aggressiveness for his size and the way he is build to play the game makes him a huge question mark, I would try and avoid him plus they have that player in Mark Stone. You would probably have a choice between Forsberg and Jarnkrok but not totally sure which one to pick there, you would also be getting Nashville's 1st (hopefully next year) but probably this year. The prospect I would want would be Salomaki, not a huge guy but plays with an edge and he is kind of in the mold of a Lazar but not the high end potential either.
So basically if they could swing Spezza for Jarnkrok/Forsberg, Salomaki, and a 1st I think the Sens should be taking that and putting it to good use.

That's pretty bad, you're not even getting one established player in return. I'd trade him for Fisher, Hornqvist, or one of their d-men.
