Yeah agreed.  #1 goalie out.. top goal scorer out... Down 0-2 going to Montreal...

Top scorer out? I haven't watched this one, Stamkos is hurt? Or are you talking about Palat?

Datsyuk goal was ridiculous on so many levels.
The Western teams are ridiculously good, gotta love seeing all those kids giving everything they have.

The Datsyuk goal was pretty good, yeah.

On the whole, it was nice seeing Detroit tolerate Boston's usual level of dirtiness and pull out the victory.  I am surprised there's no talk of Lucic getting suspended.  He speared a guy right in the "Joel Quenvilles" (as Duthie put it).  And this isn't the first time he's done it.  No mention of further discipline at all, and in my opinion, there should be.  It was a total cheap shot and he gets away with it.  BS.

Spezza has scored many comparable goals.

In the regular season against rookies on the Panthers? sure.

Yes. The only situation he has ever scored. Ever.  Laugh1

Not a spear by a long shot. Just a stick-tap to the sack. It's not like DeKeyser was singing soprano after the game. Could have been 2 for "You can't do that" but it was clearly missed by everyone. Except Danny, of course.

But you'd better believe Lucic will be watched more closely the next couple of games so I wouldn't be surprised if he got a few minors. Everyone out there is doing something, but they usually try to do it when no-one is watching.

I don't think you understood what I meant by "on so many levels" but then again, I don't expect it from Spezza fans  Laugh1

Do I even need to mention Rask (0.930 - 2.04 GAA), Bergeron (+38) and Chara (+25) were on the ice

W.P. Rager the contrarian strikes again. I'd argue with you, but there's no point.

Lucic apparently will get a fine.

By "Spezza fan" I assume, in this case, you mean "realist."

Fact is Spezza has scored tons of highlight reel goals but Datsyuk gets tons more praise for the exact same thing.

The TSN panel should get a commission because if they hadn't made a fuss it would be business as usual in the NHL.

In all fairness, Datsyuk has a couple of rings and other hardware, and has the nickname "The Magician". Spezza has a Spengler Cup and his nicknames include "Giggles" and "Tits". Can't compare the two.

That goal last night was ok. He really had to reach back to get the puck but after that it was just a good shot and a bad save attempt. That shootout goal by Spezza was much more impressive, tbh.

Also, mentioning that Chara and Bergeron were on the ice at the time is silly because, like I said, that should have been stopped by the Mr .963. Yes, a goalie of that calibre will let in a bunch of easy goals over the course of a long season or career, just like Marchand and Chara *will* have minus games (if they didn't they would be at +200).

Just a mistake with a graphic. Budge cuts and all. It's either Melnyk's or Lucic' fault.
