Pound the hell out of each other and then the Cup comes back East. Back to Canada, I dare say?

I wouldn't be surprised if they hit the wall the rest of the way, either.  14 games.  A week ago they looked exhausted.  Often these 7-goal outbursts take way more out of the winning team than the losing one.  This is where coaching becomes ultra important.   Vigneault has to bring them back down to Earth -- they are not going to score 4 goals on Price every game, let alone knock him out of the game and have some more fun with Budaj.  Of course if Price is injured then this could be like the Sens series last season.

Therrien has an easier job to do, IMO.  Just tell them to forget that game and try to remember the ones in round one.  Losing that second game in Boston was a lot tougher (and harder to forget) than a 7-2 stinker.  All they have to do is win 2 of the next 3 to get home ice advantage back.  And stop taking so many damn penalties.

I'm pretty sure one of the worst offensive teams of the NHL last year scored more than 4 on Price a couple times in the playoffs Smile

I've got nothing to be ashamed of. Nothing at all. Didn't like the team last year except for Gallagher. Thought Subban was a selfish hot-head. Subban has really cleaned up his act. How can you say anything about Price? They've gotten a lot bigger or haven't you noticed. I said all along that the Habs would give Boston problems and, guess what -- they did.

I'm not telling you (or Shabbs or Sandy or anyone else) to feel ashamed for saying "f the habs", repeatedly, so piss off telling me to be ashamed. Watching games is a lot more interesting when you actually pick one side to root for. Go ahead and root for the Rangers. Me, I still remember Boyle two years ago and Kreider last year (Methot just looked at him and he went down and took Anderson's Vezina away).

Any Sens fan rooting for either Montreal or Toronto, under any circumstance/excuse/player preference... or whatever, is a traitor, end of story  Dammit!

Anyway, Price is injured. It's over, Kings in 5 over the Rangers.

Are you accusing me of treason, Imp? I lived in Montreal for 20 years when I first came to Canada. I've been to a few parades. I screamed my lungs out at the old Forum when they lost in game 6 to the Flyers in the Wales Conference Finals in '87 (but what a game -- and what a pre-game brawl). I've got history your Impish mind cannot fathom. The current edition of the Montreal Canadiens is but a shawdow of their former glory, but they are certainly a better bunch than we've seen over the last few years (decades?) There are still players on this team I can do without (still haven't forgiven Prust, for example) but for the first time in a long while this is a Montreal team I can actually get behind.

If the Sens were still around, sure, I'd be rooting for them. But, guess what, they are scattered to the four winds, some in Ukraine, some hunting or fishing, some sipping Mai-Tais on a beach I could never afford to see in person. But none of them are playing in the Stanley Cup Playoffs so as a hockey fan I can damn-well root for another team if I so desire.

Just not the Leafs. Never the Leafs. I *do* have standards.

By the way, the Habs (IMO) are way off saying Kreider did it accidentally on purpose.

From the article:

Kreider wrote:"It wasn't really sitting for me, so I had my head down trying to settle the puck. I put it wide and somehow lost my footing. I thought maybe someone pressured me from behind,"

Here's the "pressure from behind":

That's not an optical illusion like bending your pencil.

LOL! Hatred and respect are not mutually exclusive son. In fact, they are complimentary.

Did you mean complimentary or complementary?  Not sure either one fits, to be honest.
